This invitation is part of a collection of documents related to William Admans and the creation of the Commonwealth parliament in 1901. Admans was a member of the Commonwealth parliamentary reporting staff, known as Hansard. On the left of the invitation is an image of a crown over crossed sword and sceptre, these are on top of a large book, which in turn is on top of a cushion. Above and below the image is the text:

The main text of the invitation appears on a stylised scroll image, borded by leaves (perhaps intended to be olives or laurel) surrounded by a geometric boarder in the same bronze-gold colour the rest of the invitation is printed in. The Main text reads:
