It demonstrates how the Russian community wish to represent their past and their hopes for their future in Australia. It is a contribution to the Migration Museum's Community Banner Collection.The aim of the exhibition is to foster greater public understanding of the Russian culture and appreciation for its contributions to the culture and economy of SA.DescriptionBackground is black with stars, gives the impression of space. Stitched onto the background at the top are yellows stars with various Russian writing characters in them. At the bottom stitched onto the background are yellows stars with English letters inside them. In the centre of the banner is a fabric blue earth, at the earth's top is a large shape of Russia with various flowers stitched to it, and at the bottom large shape of Australia with various flowers stitched to it.
