The History Trust aims to collect objects and stories that are connected to recent and present day significant events that have an impact on South Australia’s communities, such as LGBTIQ+ social movements, Black Lives Matter protests, bushfires and the Corona virus pandemic. Contemporary collecting preserves the present for the future by capturing immediate experiences and preserving ephemera such as flyers and other single use items which would be thrown away soon after an event had occurred.
