This shirt is part of a collection of memorabilia from the Armpits Lesbian soccer team.SignificanceThis bowl comes from the Armpits Lesbian Football team, also known as the OUT women's soccer team under South Australian Women's Soccer Association. The Armpits played from 1982-2000 and operated as a non-hierarchical soccer team, encouraging women of all ages and abilities to join in and play football with no official coach or captain.DescriptionA large ceremonial bowl depicting a soccer ball in the centre and a golden rim with green text that reads, "Ten years/of Armpits". Also on the rim the numbers "1981" and "1991" are written in brown either side of the soccer ball.
